Build Financial Models That Actually Work
You won't find any shortcuts here. Financial modelling takes patience, practice, and a proper understanding of how businesses operate. Our program focuses on building that foundation over eight months, starting September 2025.
This isn't about memorising formulas or copying templates. We teach you how to think through problems, structure assumptions, and create models that hold up under scrutiny. The kind of work that helps companies make decisions with confidence.
Real Projects, Real Pressure, Real Learning
We structure the program around case studies from actual Australian businesses. Small manufacturing operations, retail chains, service companies. You'll work with messy data, incomplete information, and changing requirements.
Because that's what the work looks like. Nobody hands you perfect spreadsheets with all the assumptions laid out. You have to dig through financial statements, ask questions, make reasonable estimates, and defend your choices.
- Weekly live sessions with working professionals
- Access to historical business data sets
- Peer review sessions for model critique
- Monthly one-on-one progress discussions
- Portfolio development support

Three Phases Over Eight Months
Each phase builds on the previous one. Skip ahead and you'll struggle. That's intentional. Financial modelling requires that sequential understanding.
Foundations
Two months getting comfortable with financial statements, business drivers, and basic Excel functionality. Not exciting, but necessary.
- Reading annual reports critically
- Understanding cash flow vs profit
- Building basic forecasts
- Structuring assumptions logically
Application
Three months working through progressively complex scenarios. Revenue models, cost structures, working capital requirements.
- Scenario planning and sensitivity
- Valuation fundamentals
- Investment decision frameworks
- Model audit and error checking
Integration
Three months on comprehensive models that combine everything. These take time. Expect to rebuild parts multiple times as you learn.
- Full three-statement models
- Merger and acquisition analysis
- Project finance structures
- Presenting findings effectively
